What are some good apartments in Indianapolis?

I'm planning to move to Indianapolis, and I'm looking for any helpful recommendations on good apartments. Also, are there any areas I should steer clear of? I would like to stay under $675 and I also have a small dog.

None, I lived there for 10 years.I guess the only decent area would be northside of town, fishers ,carmel. But it may be more expensive. East side is bad, so is west. southside white trash area.
